Keith Allen Wiegand

Keith Allen Wiegand, (nicknamed PeeWee and Grumpy) 77, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away December 4, 2015. He was born November 17, 1938, in Peoria, IL, the son of the late George W. and Fannie (Rinkenberger) Wiegand. He married Wilma Dale Dee (Ayres) Wiegand, who preceded him in passing January 5, 2013, after 50 years of marriage.

He was a graduate of Gridley Central High School. He received his bachelors degree in banking and finance from Oklahoma State University and later his masters degree from the University of Oklahoma. He spent his career as a banker serving several banks including The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) based out of Illinois and Bank of Oklahoma in the Tulsa area. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, sports, mushroom hunting, gardening, and he loved cats and dogs. Most of all he loved making people happy. Even in the most difficult of times he smiled and made people smile. He always put friends and family before himself. He was a great High School athlete lettering in several sports and setting records. He jokingly touted himself as "#22 on The Scoreboard, but #1 in Your Heart." He told great jokes and stories until his final days. He was a best friend and family member to so very many.

He is survived by his daughter, Dawn (Norman) Finbloom, Carmel, IN; granddaughter, Jenna Finbloom; siblings, Shirley Alltop , Marvin (Joann) Wiegand, Dale (Freidora) Wiegand; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his cherished grandson, Brett Ryan Finbloom; and beloved sister, Janet Knecht who is survived by her husband Richard Knecht.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Carmel Lutheran Church, 4850 East Main Street, Carmel, IN. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Make Good Decisions, http://www.indysb.org/make-good-decisions, or to Carmel Lutheran Church.
