Keiandra Elizabeth (Rowan) Gathings was born March 7, 1978, in Louisville, Kentucky to Valerie K. Jackson and David B Rowan.
Keiandra was baptized at an early age at Meadowlawn Baptist church of Louisville, Kentucky. Keiandra continued her faith journey to Eastern Star Church of Indianapolis, Indiana. Keiandra continued to grow her faith through different service avenues and charities.
Keiandra graduated from Lawrence North High School. She went to Indiana University to achieve a B.A. in Sociology. She also decided to continue her education recently to pursue a degree in Nursing, which was a personal calling. Keiandra worked as a case manager and a child advocate with the Milwaukee County Child services.
Keiandra met and married her best friend, Vincent Gathings in 2003. Together they built a family of 5 beautiful children - Noah, Eden, Seth, Leah and Luke. Keiandra's true calling and passion was being a mother to her children and matriarch to her family.
Keiandra touched and made an everlasting impression to whomever she met from her volunteering to various charities, to greeting and meeting the homeless communities. She had a heart of gold to service and empathizes to all.
Keiandra was called home to her Lord on June 10, 2026. She leaves to celebrate her life a husband, Vincent Gathings and their five children- sons Noah, Seth and Luke and daughters Eden and Leah, her mother Valerie Jackson and father David Rowan (Kimberly) and a host of other family members and friends.
Keiandra was preceded in death by her great grandmother Ophelia Whitfield, grandparents Elizabeth and Theodore Sr. Rowan and Grand Aunt Willie Mae Miller (Aunt Bea).
There will be a private viewing for family and close friends and a celebration of life for Keiandra at Flanner Buchanan.
In lieu of flowers, it would be greatly appreciated that a donation be made in Keiandra’s name to Gleaner Food Bank or to a charity of your choice to continue Keiandra’s spirit of giving.
Condolences may be shared with the family through Flanner Buchanan.
