Kathryn(Kay) Eleanor Weis Luthman
age 96, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2013.
She was born March 29, 1917 in Dayton, Ohio. She was a loving wife and devoted mother. Her many hobbies included bridge, bowling, golf, and playing the Organ. She was an accomplished seamstress, creating many lovely outfits, including beautiful holiday dresses for her Granddaughters. She was a member of Christ the King parish where she sang in their Resurrection Choir.
Kathryn is survived by two daughters; Eleanor (Mike) Kolbus of Indianapolis, Elaine (Russ) Huebner of Florida, and son; Jim (Toni) Johantgen of Illinois, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 year; James J. and her parents ; Ralph and Louise Kohler Weis, and her brother; George Weis.
A Mass of Christian burial will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013, celebrated at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1827 Kessler Boulevard E. Drive, Indianapolis, IN 46220. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the time of mass. The family wishes to thank the staff at Clearwater Commons and the Premier Hospice staff for their loving care of Kathryn (Kay). Memorial Contributions may be made in Kathryn's memory to Scecina Memorial High School, 5000 Nowland Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46201. Entombment will take place at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens 9700 Allisonville Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46250
