Kathryn Louise Stires

Kathryn Louise Stires, 91, of Greenwood, IN passed away peacefully at home on April 17, 2020. She was born in Chillicothe, OH on June 13, 1928. She grew up in Ohio on Egypt Hill where her father was a farm boss for the VA hospital. Kathryn worked at Western Electric in Indianapolis for 30 years. Kathryn enjoyed traveling with family members and she loved Christmas.

Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Pamela Shirley; her son James (Faith) Stires; her granddaughter Amber (Eric) Gardner and great granddaughter Addison Gardner. She is preceded in death by her parents; George and Della Haddox; her husband James Stires; and all of her 8 brothers and sisters.

Her family will be honoring Kathryn in a private ceremony at Flanner Buchanan – Washington Park East.  In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that anyone wishing to make memorial contributions in Kathryn’s honor to please select a charity of their choice.
