Kathryn J. Andrews

Kathryn J. Andrews, 83 of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday, August 21, 2022.  Kathy was born July 4, 1939 in Indianapolis to the late Dr. Francis P. and Mildred M. Jones.  She was a member of the first graduating class of Scecina Memorial High School in 1957 and from Ivy Tech in 1972.

Kathy was a certified surgical technician at St Francis Hospital for 29 years, retiring in 2001.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 23 at 2:00 pm at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, Conner Suite, where family and friends may gather beginning at 1:00 pm.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Anthony; children, Karen D. (husband, Denis) Cox and Steven C. (wife, Lisa) Wuertz; grandchildren, Joel Saxton, Elizabeth Saxton, Christopher Wuertz, Sarah Cox, Julia Cox, Ryan Wuertz, Kevin Wuertz, Megan Wuertz; great granddaughter, Reagan Saxton; siblings, Stephen (wife, Peggy) Jones, Susan (husband, Tom) Cook, Dan (wife, Denise) Jones. Kathryn was preceded in death by her son, Michael J. Wuertz and sister, Elizabeth A. Lyneis.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse.
