Kathryn Anne Jester

Kathryn “Kathy” A. Jester (nee-Apel) passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2023 in Indianapolis. She was the eldest daughter of Lawrence H. Apel and Thelma B. Boettcher Apel (both deceased). She received her master’s in library science from Indiana University in 1981. She was the Assistant Director for the Fayette County Public Library and the medical librarian for Johnson Memorial Hospital. Kathy volunteered for many years with the Franklin Township Community School Corporation, she was an assistant troop leader for the Girl Scouts of America and aided with the Mental Health Gift Lift. Kathy enjoyed baking, cross-stitch, and spending time with her beloved family. She was a member of Irvington Presbyterian Church.

Kathy is survived by her husband Conner J. Jester and their daughters, Melissa K. Jester and Erin E. Jester. She is survived by her sister, Carol E. Apel (Jim B. Sams) of Charlotte, NC.

Funeral Services will be held at Flanner Buchanan Memorial Park, 9350 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, IN, 46229, on Saturday March 25, at 1pm with visitation at 12pm until time of service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association are welcomed.
