Kathleen Sue 'Kathie' Burkhardt

Kathleen S. "Kathie" Burkhardt 61 of Indianapolis, IN passed away Oct. 11, 2013. She was a Sales Representative for the Yellow Pages where she was nationally recognized for top sales by Bell Systems. She was a 1970 graduate of Decatur Central High School, served as Honor Queen of Jobs Daughters West Newton Chapter, Indiana Junior Achievement where she served as an officer and speaker, and she was active in the LS Ayres High School Fashion Board. Kathie helped the Foster Sheltie Rescue of Central Indiana, worked with the Big Sisters Program, Member and former officer in the West Newton Chapter #489 of Order of Eastern Star, and was a Lifetime Member of Camby Community Church. She is survived by her mother, Marie Burkhardt, brothers, Terry and Robert E. Burkhardt and a host of extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Robert Burkhardt, Jr. Graveside services will be private at Fairfield Friends Cemetery in Camby, IN.
