Kathleen Diane Warren
74, if Carmel, IN, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2015. Kathy was born Sept. 20, 1941 in Indianapolis to the late Curtis Clayton and Mary Virginia Plopper. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles R. Warren, and three sons: Gregory Charles of Towson, MD, Michael David, Atlanta, GA, and Stephen Andrew, Iowa City, IA; and eight grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Stephen Plopper, Esq., Carmel, Michael Plopper, M.D., Rancho Santa Fe., CA, and Patricia Stidham, Fallbrook, CA. Raised in southern Indiana, she earned a B.A. from Indiana University (1963) and a Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Maryland (1975). She worked in the federal government and the state governments of Indiana and Kansas as a budget and legislative analyst and environmental program manager. She was a member and President of the Benefe Guild of Indianapolis; member of Indianapolis Symphony North Group, and the IMA Alliance. She loved classical music, reading, playing bridge and collecting Indiana art.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, October 3 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel, 325 East Carmel Dirve, Carmel. Friends may call beginning at 2 p.m.
