Katherine L. Chowning

Katherine L. Chowning, 89, of Indianapolis, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013. She was born on March 23, 1923 in Parke County, IN to James Webster and Edith (Glenn) Chowning. Katherine was a teacher with IPS for 37 years, prior to her retirement in 1987. She was loved by all that knew her. She is survived by her sister, Barbara (Albert) Ames; niece Sharon (Charles) Lockridge. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters and 2 brothers. A memorial service will be held at The Episcopal Church of All Saints on Friday, March 22, 2013 at 10am. The burial of cremated remains will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery, Rockville, IN at a later date. Cremation services entrusted to Flanner and Buchanan- Speedway.
