Katherine -Kitty- Holt

Katherine Mildred “Kitty”(Paugh) Holt, 85, a resident of the Cumberland Trace Community in Plainfieldand formerly of Lawrence and Indianapolis, died January 28, 2017. Born September 11, 1931 in Middletown, Ohiothe daughter of the late Cecil and Elizabeth (Ballinger) Paugh. Katherine was a homemaker and worked atLawrence Central HS for 21 years as a cook. She enjoyed many things, being with family and friends, music, dancing,playing cards, and games (especially bingo). She always had a caring heart for others. She married Vernon E. Holt in June 1950 andhe preceded her in death in May 2000. Also preceding her in death were 4 brothers, Cecil, Ernest, Fred andHarold Paugh; 3 sisters, Edith Paugh, Juanita Lindley Louise Alcorn and a halfsister, Mary Elizabeth Heller.

Surviving is her daughter,Diana Rose (Raymond) of Plainfield, IN; 2 grandsons, Brad Rose (Robin) of SwitzCity, IN and Brian Rose (Shawnna) of Russellville, IN; 5 great-grandchildren,Skyler, Sierra, Jarrett, Haley and Brayton; brother, Ronald Paugh; sister, RuthAnn Mullins; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, February 3,2017 at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis,IN 46229, with visitation from 12:00 PMuntil the service time. Entombment willbe in Washington Park East Cemetery.
