Katherine E. Metzler

Katherine E. (Richards) Waldon Metzler, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away April 3, 2017. She was born July 28, 1928 to Jesse and Eva Richards. She was an executive secretary at Stewart Warner for 26 years before retiring in 1990. She also attended John Herron School of Art as an art student for two years. She was a 50 year member of the Irvington Chapter Order of Eastern Star.

Katherine is survived by her sons, Carl A. Waldon (Violet) and Ron E. Waldon; 9 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herman Waldon; her second husband, Arthur E. Metzler; daughter, Sandra S. Waldon-Mayhew; and granddaughter, Trisha Kay Waldon.

A visitation will be held on Friday, April 7, 2017 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Indianapolis, IN 46229. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. also at the funeral center.
