Karen Zabst

Karen Hight Zabst, 67 of Westfield, IN passed away at herhome on Thursday, October 6, 2016. Karen was born in Erie, PA on December13, 1948. She was a graduate of Purdue University and earned her Master’sdegree from Indiana University.

Karen was a kindergarten teacher in Westfield-WashingtonSchools for 22 Years and prior to that she worked and taught in LawrenceTownship and Indianapolis Public Schools for 5 years.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 pm Wednesday,October 12 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel, where family and friends are invitedto gather from 2:00pm until the time of the service.

Karen is survived by her husband of 44 years, Bruce;sons, Michael (wife, Susanne) and Mark (wife, Nora); grandchildren, Alex,Vincent, Sydney, Josie and Helena; mother, Helen Hight; sister, KathyBain. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Hight.
