Karen Sue Stanley, 75, of Indianapolis, IN passed away on June 25, 2025. She was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on February 7, 1950, to her parents Earl and Julianne (Buis) Grantham.
Karen was a dedicated employee of the BMV, where she served as a Driver Examiner. She retired after 20 years of dedicated service.
Karen married the love of her life, Donald Stanley, 33 years ago. Together they built a life full of love, laughter and deep companionship. Their bond was an example of true partnership, and their time together was filled with shared joys, travel and simple moments that meant the world. But above all, her greatest joy came from her children and grandchildren.
Karen is survived by her children, Jeff Anderson (Kerry), Donna Roberts (James), Tammy Beaumont (Robert), Darren Stanley (Sandra), Jeff Stanley; her grandchildren, Stephanie Cherry (Ryan), Jacob Roberts (Tiffany), Joshua Roberts, Morgan Anderson, Mason Wiles, Cooper, Eli, Owen and Sage Stanley, Jennifer (Caleb) Hensley, Jeffrey and Julia (Rachel) Stanley; her great-grandchildren, Bella, Lucy, Gavin, Aria, Jack, Solaris, Kierstyn, Jacob, Ollie, Delaney, and Delilah; and her sister, Diane Woerdeman (Jeff).
She is reunited in heaven with her loving husband, Donald Stanley; and her brother, Kenneth Grantham; and her grandson, Kade Stone and Herbert Bogard IV.
A service will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Washington Park East Cemetery (Mt. Vernon Building) at 10AM.
