Karen A. Pellico

Karen A. Pellico, 72 of Carmel, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2023.  Karen was born January 9, 1951 in Chicago, IL.  She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Butler University.

Karen was an educator for many years.  She retired from Park Tudor and previously taught at the Hebrew Academy.

Family and friends are invited to gather from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 14 at Flanner Buchanan-Carmel, followed by a memorial service at 3:00.

Karen is survived by her husband, Gary, whom she married August 12, 1972; mother, Helen V. Rueffer; siblings, Pamela M. Valadez, William L. (Josefina) Rueffer, Marc E. (Karen Ledgerwood) Rueffer; nieces and nephews, including beloved Katherine (Lorenzo) Rueffer-Linarducci, Ryan Rueffer, William Rueffer, Angie Rueffer, Amanda Rueffer, Tony Pellico, Matthew (Sarah) Pellico, Valynda (Andy) Myer.  She was preceded in death by her father, William M. Rueffer.
