Karen Michelle Lindsey, age 58 of Indianapolis passed away on January 29, 2016. She was born October 3, 1957 in Indianapolis to Kenneth and Dorothy Lindsey. Karen loved her family so much. She was especially full of love for her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She was a member of the Friendship Church. She worked as a Manager for the Gas America Company.
She is preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Lindsey, Sr., her daughter, Dottie Long and her brother, Kenneth Lindsey, Jr. Surviving to cherish her memory are her son, James (Ashley) Long, her mother, Dorothy Lindsey, step-children, Becky (Steve) McKinnney, Bobby Long and Robert Long, sisters, Mae Lee and husband, Gary, Lola Lindsey, Loretta Christopher and husband, Bob, Terri Everhard and husband, Robert, Rebecca Lindsey, and Gloria Lindsey two brothers, Kevin Lindsey and wife, Gail, and Kurt Lindsey and wife, Jill, grandchildren, Jordan Long, Jayden Long, Jaylen Long, Selena Long, Ashleigh Graves and Ben Ashlock and great-granddaughter, Makenzie.
Friends may visit from 4-8 PM Monday February 1, 2016 at Flanner and Buchanan – Decatur Township, 5463 Kentucky Avenue, Indianapolis. A celebration of her life will be at 11 AM Tuesday at Flanner and Buchanan. Friends may sign Karen’s online guest registry at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
