Karen E. Field

Karen Ellen (Hollis) Field was born in Akron, OH on July 13, 1932. She died on February 23, 2026, in Fishers, IN. 

Karen married Thomas Field in 1951 and was a devoted wife and mother to three children - Cecelie, Ken, and Kevin. After the kids entered school, she began taking night classes at Butler University and graduated with a degree in Psychology/Sociology in 1973. Karen worked as a legal secretary 1974-76, and office manager for a psychologist 1976-80. Then she turned her attention to writing, finishing several novels before selling three romantic mysteries to Harlequin between 1986-91. She also taught writer's workshops. Her husband's advancing Alzheimer's disease then claimed her attention until his death in 2009. Karen is survived by her three children and three grandchildren, Madi, Lauren, and Alex. 

A Private Memorial Service will be hosted for family at a later date.
