Karen Lynn Borcherding, 49, of Brownsburg died March 6, 2011. She was born July 29, 1961 in Norwalk, Connecticut to Joseph and Madeline (Doll) Lionetti. Karen earned an Associate Degree in Business Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. She worked in hotel management, banking, and for the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Indianapolis. Karen married Craig Borcherding on October 5, 2002.
Karen enjoyed crafts, gardening, working in the yard, and planting trees and flowers for Craig to mow around! She also enjoyed continuing her education online and on campus. Karen was devoted to her family, including her Doberman, Dee Dee. Her membership at Pittsboro United Methodist Church was very important to her, as well.
She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband Craig; her mother Madeline Lionetti Bailey and her husband Robert Bailey; step-daughters Amber and Alisha Borcherding; her brother Kenneth Lionetti; her in-laws Curtis and Ruah Borcherding; her brother and sister-in-law Eric and Janet Borcherding, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her father Joseph Lionetti.
A memorial service celebrating Karen’s life is planned for Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Pittsboro United Methodist Church, 227 E. Main St, Pittsboro, IN 46167.
