June Ann Pottratz, 78, of Carmel, passed to her eternal reward onJanuary 5, 2016, surrounded by family members. She was born in New Albin, Iowaon June 14, 1937 the daughter of James and Doris (May) Spinner. Shemarried F. Thomas Pottratz in New Albin, Iowa on December 27, 1956.
June was a homemaker and dedicated her life to caring for herhusband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also spentcountless hours volunteering for organizations promoting the respect for lifefrom conception to natural death. She was a member of St. Elizabeth SetonCatholic Church and a Lady of the Holy Sepulcher. June enjoyed bowling,puzzles, and playing bridge.
Survivors include her husband, Tom, her six sons, Bryan (Becky)Pottratz of Silver City, NM; Bill (Kathy) Pottratz of Madison, AL; Scott(Theresa) Pottratz of Tybee Island, GA; John (Michele) Pottratz of Boulder, CO;David (Alison) Pottratz of Lake Jackson, TX; and Michael (Wendy) Pottratz ofCarmel IN; two brothers, Tim Spinner of La Crosse, WI and Robert"Bob" Spinner of Topeka, KS. She is also survived by nineteengrandchildren and two great grandchildren.
The visitation will be at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel, 325 EastCarmel Drive, on Thursday, December 7, 2016, where the family will receivefamily and friends from 3:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., with the Rosary beingrecited at 4:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated onFriday, January 8, 2016 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Elizabeth Seton CatholicChurch. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory tothe Women’s Care Center of Indianapolis or the Right to Life ofIndianapolis.
