Julio Cesar Campins Sr., 82, of Zionsville passed away June 16, 2014
Julio was born in Palma Soriano, Oriente, Cuba, and immigrated with his family to the United States in 1967. He was a diesel mechanic for Mclean's trucking for years before going on the road driving for Roadway and later retiring as a Teamster. He always enjoyed working on engines but his greatest passion in life was his family who will miss him dearly. Playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren was the highlight of his day.
Julio is survived by his wife of 60 years, Dolores Campins, son Ramiro (Laura) Campins III of Zionsville, and sister Ana Rosa Batista. He is also survived by his four grandchildren Ashley (Chad) Rieder, Dustin (Jackie) Campins, Ana Campins, Isabella Campins and four great grandchildren Jaxson and Brentley Campins; Summer Rieder; Ryker Campins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Julio Cesar Campins Jr. and brother Ramiro A. Campins Jr., sisters Laura Sanchez and Doralia Acosta.
Visitation will be Friday June 20th from 4-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Zionsville with entombment Saturday June 21st at 10am at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
