Julie Christine Uptmor of Zionsville, Indiana passed away surrounded by the family she loved on October 13, 2013.
She was born in Columbia, South Carolina to Elmer and Carolyn (Hagner) Olson on July 3, 1956. After graduating from Rockford West High School in Rockford, Illinois, Julie received an Associate Degree in Nursing from Rock Valley Junior College.
She loved her chosen profession, and returned to school to earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Wright State University School of Nursing. Julie worked for most of her career at an Internal Medicine Clinic in Dayton, Ohio.
Julie married her husband of 34 years, Robert Anthony Uptmor, on June 16, 1979. They were residents of Centerville, Ohio for many years, before moving to Zionsville. They were active at The Garden at Beef and Boards, a ministry of St. Luke Methodist Church.
As proud as Julie was of her profession, she found her greatest joy in being a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Any time she could spend with her family was special to her. Her children especially remember her comforting ways, vivacious personality, and positive attitude.
