Julie Gilbert

Julie A. Gilbert, 40, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2015. She was born August 22, 1974 to Buddy and Londa Cantrell, both of whom proceeded her in death. Julie grew up in New Palestine, IN and attended New Palestine High School. She then attended Butler University where she went on to receive a Master's degree in social work. Julie married Timothy Gilbert October 22, 2005 and they resided in Zionsville, IN. Julie was a crafts enthusiast, a dog lover, and loved travelling and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed spending time at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway with her husband following Indy Car racing. Julie was a loving wife, sister, granddaughter, and aunt, and was a dear friend to all who knew her. Julie is survived by her husband of 10 years, Tim Gilbert; her brother, Jason Cantrell and his wife Debra; her grandmother, Margaret Jones; her aunts, Patty Scott and Sandy Farish; her uncle, Randy Cantrell; her nephew, A.J. Cantrell and her niece, Katie Cantrell. She is also survived by her father and mother in law, Joe and Becky Gilbert; her sister in law, Emily Bates; brother in laws, Ben and Simon Gilbert. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 17, 2015 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville, 105 W. Pine St., Zionsville, IN 46077.
