Julie A. Barnes

Julie Barnes, 53, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Friday February 7, 2014. Along with Julie's love of her children and grandchildren and the rest of her family, she loved gardening; including filling her yard with lily flowers and many others. Julie was a graduate of Indiana University where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. She will be very missed by her friends and family. Julie is survived by her children, Andrew Barnes, Sarah Barnes, and Shawn Taylor; grandchildren, Gavin Taylor and Alyssa Taylor; brothers, Eddie Jones, Louie Jones, Steven Jones; sister, Linda Lisby; and her husband of 28 years, Kenneth Barnes. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Lewis and Dorothy Jones, and her sister Carol Allen. Visitation for Julie will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Decatur on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Family and friends are encouraged to sign and share a memory of her in her online registry book.
