Judith Ann “Judie” Richardson, 86 of Carmel, formerly of Tipton, passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Judie was born March 28, 1939 in Menominee, MI to the late Clarence and Beatrice Johnson. Judie worked at the Tipton High School cafeteria and later at the Tipton Library.

Judie was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, was an avid quilter, and was known as the “flower lady” at Sunrise on Old Meridian for the centerpieces she created. She enjoyed attending sports and school activities for her grandchildren, as well as spending time with family at “the cabin” that she and her husband, Patrick, built.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 2 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, where family and friends can gather in the church narthex from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass.

Judie was the widow of Partick G. Richardson. She is survived by her children, Deborah (husband, Bob) Carter, Stephen Richardson, Michael Richardson, David (wife, Paula Boener) Richardson and John (wife, Marla) Richardson; grandchildren, Eric, Darren, Zachariah, Elijah, Isaac, Lillian, Jeremiah, Erin, and Ross; great grandchildren, Reid, Grant, Kaylynn, Braxton and Anna; sister, Dawn (husband, Bruce) Falkenberg. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert “Rob” Richardson, brothers, Dennis and Gerald Johnson, son-in-law, Larry Long and daughter-in-law, Dee Richardson.
