Judith Rose McLoughlin, 85, affectionately known as Judy, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on December 3, 1939, in Munster, Indiana, Judy displayed a vibrant spirit that touched the lives of all who knew her.
Judy dedicated over 15 years of her life to working at Cynthia's Hallmark, where she was beloved by her coworkers and took great joy in her card section.
Judy was a remarkable individual not only for her career but also for her many interests and hobbies. An avid reader, she could often be found with a book in hand. Her passion for reading was matched by her love for sports, particularly those of the Chicago Cubs and Bulls. Judy was known for her ability to quote betting spreads and injury reports, showcasing her deep knowledge of the games she cherished. Additionally, she enjoyed needlepoint and had a talent for playing both the piano and organ.
Her legacy will forever be intertwined with the memories she created with her family, particularly her profound love for giving her belongings to her grandchildren.
Judy is survived by her two sons, Timothy Dale and Christopher Todd, as well as her cherished grandchildren Amanda Rose, Elissa Noel, Emily Grace, McKenzie Kay, and Christopher Robert Dale.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Helen Flickinger and her two brothers Thomas and Robert Flickinger.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Judy's life will be held on June 6, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Geist, located at 7855 Cork Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46236.
Judy McLoughlin will be remembered for her strength, honesty, and the love she shared with her family and friends. Her generous spirit and vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
