Judith Margaret Welches

Judith Margaret Welches, 73, of Indianapolis, passed away at home on Friday, March 30, 2018.

She was born on November 14, 1944 in Elwood, IN to the late Paul Pedro, Jr. and Thelma Frances (Taylor) Pedro.  Judy was a graduate of Wendell Wilkie High School and graduated from Indiana Business College, earning a degree in Accounting.  She worked for many years as a Supervisor for Executive Management Services, retiring in 1998.  Judy was a faithful Christian woman, and was a proud member of First Bible Church for over 35 years.  She worked multiple jobs throughout her life to support her family, and was known as the neighborhood mother, looking after and taking care of all the children in the area.  Judy was an amazing cook, and was happiest around her family.

She is survived by her loving husband, David McKinley, Sr.; children, Paul (Lynn) Welches, Frances (John) Hill, Michael (Jessica) Golden; step-children, Tammy McKinley, Joann Love, Tasha McKinley.  Judy also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Ahmad, Jamie, Amie, Maurell, Johnna, John, Kyrin, Joniece, Johnetta, Johnazia; great-grandchildren, Ivori, Tania, Tony, Adreona.  She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Lee Pedro; step-son, David McKinley, Jr.

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 5-7pm at Flanner Buchanan – Memorial Park.  Judy was a very generous person, and would want memorial contributions to be made to charities of the donor’s choice.  Friends are invited to leave online condolences for the family at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
