Judith “Judy” Ann Hinshaw, 81, Indianapolis, went home to be with her Lord June 19, 2021. She was born in Indianapolis to Harry B. and Lillian “Pat” Biersdorfer. She grew up in Cleveland and graduated from Fairfield High School and attended Ohio University for a year and a half before transferring to Purdue University, graduating in 1962 and was a Pi Beta Phi and worked for California Bell before coming to Indianapolis to teach at Warren Central High School, retiring in 1998. After retiring, Judy took a trip to Jerusalem which she enjoyed immensely. She was an avid animal lover, but dogs held a special place in her heart. She was the leader for Solomon’s Wardrobe at East 91st Street Christian Church, helping others in need of clothing. As a member of Legacy Bible Church, she led the prayer team and often enjoyed Bible study.
She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, John Biersdorfer.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Jim, sons, John A. (Susan) Hinshaw, Jay A. (Jocelyn) Hinshaw, grandchildren, Jack, Reese, Will, Jamison, and Josephine.

Visitation will be held Thursday from 10-12pm at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd. Indianapolis. Funeral services will begin there at 12pm. Online condolences may be shared at www.flannerbuchanan.com.
