Judith Gail Resener Coe, 84, affectionately known as Judy, passed away surrounded by her loving family on June 3, 2025. She was born in Indianapolis on December 9, 1940 to Edward and Rose Marie Resener.

Judy graduated from Thomas Carr Howe High School in 1959 and soon after married the love of her life, John. They married on September 11, 1959 and spent 65 wonderful years together. She lived on the East Side of Indianapolis her entire life.

Judy foremost was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved planning and cooking family meals, especially for holidays and special events. She spoiled her pet kitty, Charly, rotten. She was an enthusiastic Notre Dame football fan, avid crafter, and thoroughly enjoyed decorating her home for every holiday including dressing up her porch goose for each occasion. Judy and John spent many weekends playing euchre with long-time friends. Judy also held a license as a Ham amateur radio operator. She enjoyed traveling with her family - having visited all 50 U.S states, nearly all Canadian provinces, and many destinations in the Caribbean and Mexico. Judy was a devoted member of Franklin Road Baptist Church and often attended church functions and activities.

Throughout her lifetime, Judy worked for the Marion County Juvenile Court, Weight Watchers, The Envelope Company and was a real estate broker and Brownie Troop leader, but her passion was caring for her family.

Judy is survived by her husband, John Coe. She is also survived by her children Cindy Coe and Todd Coe (Teresa); grandchildren Michelle Raab (Sam), Eddie Murphy (Greta), and Chad Murphy (Rachel); great-grandchildren Jordan Murphy, Eli Murphy and Ethan Murphy; and sister Patricia Baumer (Marvin). She is preceded in death by her parents and 6 siblings.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s honor to the Franklin Road Baptist Church, Indianapolis.
