Juanita L. (Darling) Fleetwood

Juanita L. (Darling) Fleetwood, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on February 18, 1924, in Augusta, Indiana, she graced this world for over a century, filling the lives of those around her with warmth, love, and cherished memories.

Juanita leaves behind her adoring children: Mary Burns, Charles Runyon, Theresa Meyer, and Becky Demma. She was proud of her family tree, which extended to her grandchildren: Zac Runyon (wife Shannon) Joseph Demma (wife Katie), Anthony Demma, Elizabeth Demma, and Katrina Demma. Each grandchild brought a special joy to her life, along with her great-grandchildren: Osias, Laila, Naiya, Mackinzie, Jojo, Easton, DJ, and Cameron, each of whom was treated to countless stories and lessons enriched by her lifelong wisdom.

Her nurturing spirit touched everyone she met. Juanita was not just a mother but a guiding light, a source of strength, and an unwavering support for her family. She had a way of making each family member feel uniquely valued and loved, a legacy that will carry on through her children and grandchildren.

The legacy of Juanita will be celebrated with heartfelt services. Friends and family are invited to honor her memory at a viewing on July 18, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 12:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Speedway, located at 2950 North High School Road in Indianapolis. A graveside service will follow at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, commencing at 1:30 PM.
