Juanita Ella Strain Smithers

Juanita Ella Smithers age 79, of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 29, 2010. Juanita was born on April 18, 1931 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Herbert and Rinsey (Ballard) Strain. She was a member of Antioch Apostolic Church and a former member of Calvary Tabernacle. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Allen Smithers, Sr.; and a son, Harvey Allen Smithers, Jr. Survivors include daughters, Sharon Kay Smithers and Patricia (Jim) Davis; half sister, Gloria Gonzalez; and grandchildren, Adam Eugene Davis, Andrew Clarence Davis, Elizabeth Ella Davis Abbigail Danniel Davis; and her best friend, Bercy Jacobs. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 1 (TODAY) at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center – Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St., Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at the funeral center. Burial in Washington Park East Cemetry. Contributions to Antioch Apostolic Church.
