Joyce L. Parks

Joyce Lorine Parks, 91, of Westfield, Indiana, passed away on August 18, 2025. She was born on February 19, 1934, in Elkhart, Indiana, to parents, Orville Canen and Bessie Canen (Blocker).

Joyce graduated from Concord High School in Elkhart, Indiana. Joyce had a very creative personality and shared her projects with her family. She could create anything, as she loved to quilt, sew, knit, crochet, and make other crafts. Joyce also loved being in the kitchen, as she made fabulous dishes and canned in her free time. She had a love for her two dogs, Nellie and Millie, as well as racoons. Joyce loved spending time with her family, especially sitting on the back porch nature watching when she could.

Joyce is survived by her children, Randy Parks, Craig (Kathy) Parks, Brad Parks, Lori Campbell; grandchildren, Brendan Parks, Skylar Parks, Ariel Kennedy, Dakota Parks, Josh Campbell, Matt Campbell, Jenni Campbell; and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, LaVern, parents, and 13 siblings.

Visitation for Joyce will be from 10 am – 12 pm on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Flanner Buchanan – Hamilton Memorial Park (Prairie Waters) – 4180 Westfield Road, Westfield, IN 46062, with a funeral service immediately following at 12 pm. Burial will take place at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in her name may be made to Hamilton County Humane Society.
