Joyce Lee Greek

Born in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Leroy and Minnie (Doerner) Wilson on June 16, 1926, she lived most of her life in Oakland City, Indiana.  Joyce and her late husband Bob, relocated to Zionsville in 2005 to live with their daughter, Diane.

Joyce graduated from Mackey High School.  In February 1946, she married the love of her life (Bob Greek) upon his return from three years of service in the United States Army in World War II.  The two were married 61 years before Bob’s passing in 2007.

Joyce was a charter member of Tri Kappa and a retiree from Potter and Brumfield, Inc.  She loved her family dearly, and was especially fond of her great grand dog, Yeli, who always made her smile. Joyce was an extraordinary cook and made cleaning an art form. She loved watching her humming birds on the deck and her Indiana Pacers on TV - especially when they took early leads and won by large margins.

Joyce is survived by her devoted daughter, Diane Green, of Zionsville; her granddaughter, Kena (Liniger) Hollingsworth of Carmel; and her sister Connie Cromer of Mackey, Indiana.

A private service will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at Flanner & Buchanan Funeral Center in Zionsville, IN www.flanner-buchanan.com.

The family requests that any memorial contributions be made in her name to the Hamilton County Humane Society.
