Joyce L. Benedix

Joyce LaVerne Benedix 67, Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011. She was born on October 17, 1943 in Franklin, KY to James A. and Bessie (Matthews) Gass. Joyce worked as a team leader for General Motors, before her retirement. She is survived by her daughters, Rita Lewis and Debra Rigsby; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joyce is also survived by two brothers and two sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister. Funeral services for Joyce will be held at Flanner and Buchanan Funeral Center - Floral Park at 11 a.m. Friday, September 16, 2011, with visitation there from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 15, 2011. Burial will be in Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may made to the National Kidney Foundation .
