Joyce A. Irvine, 89, of Greenfield passed away on March 21, 2024. 

Joyce A. Irvine, 89, of Greenfield passed away on March 21, 2024. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana on February 28, 1935, to her parents Earl and Lillian Sherman. She was a 1953 graduate of Manuel High School. Joyce was a pharmacist clerk for many dedicated years for both Hooks and CVS Pharmacies. She married the love of her life, John Ronald Irvine on September 3, 1955.

Joyce enjoyed traveling with her husband Johnny, spending time outdoors, spending time with her grandchildren, attending county fairs and festivals, and the company of animals, including their dog Molly.

Joyce could best be remembered for her spunky attitude, contagious laugh, and love for teddy bears, knickknacks, and chocolate.

Joyce’s spirit will be missed by those who were lucky enough to experience it. Her memory will continue to live on through her beloved family, and friends who received her kindness. 

Joyce is survived by her brother Edward Sherman and her sister Norma Jean Renner; her four sons John “Rusty”, Jerry, Perry, and Keith Irvine; her five grandchildren Rachel, Brooke, Hannah, Jenna, and Austin, as well as one great grandchild.

 A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, from 11AM-1PM at Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229. A funeral will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 1PM. Joyce will be laid to rest in Washington Park East Cemetery.
