Joyce Frank Bell

Joyce Frank Bell 86 of Indianapolis passed away Monday, June 10, 2013. Joyce was born April 11, 1927 in Rushville, IN to the late William and Nellie Amos Frank. She was a 1949 graduate of The Ohio State University. Joyce worked as a social worker for the State of Indiana for nearly 30 years, retiring in 1988. She was a volunteer for the Indianapolis Zoo, was a member of Kappa Kappa Kappa Sorority and was an avid sports fan; especially Ohio State football. Funeral services will be at 11:00 Friday, June 14 at Flanner and Buchanan-Carmel, where friends are invited to call one hour prior to the service. Graveside services will be at 1:00pm Friday at South Mound Cemetery, New Castle, IN. Joyce was the widow of Emmett L. Bell and John M. Lockwood. She is survived by her daughters, Alexis M. (Fred) Pryor, Ginny J. (Norm) Juday and Sandy A. (Dennis) Waggoner; grandchildren, Ashleih (Joe) Cheshire, Brent Griffin (Sue O'Reilly) and Kyle Juday (Denis Vermette); great grandchildren, Griffin, Charlie and Jack Cheshire. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Indianapolis Zoo or the Indianapolis Humane Society.
