Joyce Floretta Downs

Joyce Floretta Downs, 71, Fishers, passed away June 7, 2018. She was born in Dayton, OH to Frank and Ruth Floretta. Joyce graduated from Richmond High School in 1965 before going on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in elementary education. She was the loving mother of Emily (Matt) Ahlfeld, Sarah (Andy) Hodson, Alison (Ben) Spanner, and grandmother of Blythe, Reis, Lane, Grant, Claire, and Oliver, all of whom survive her. Other survivors include her siblings, Judy (Jerry) Rush and John (Ann) Floretta. She is preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held Tuesday at Flanner Buchanan-Oaklawn Memorial Gardens (Conner Suite), 9700 Allisonville Rd. from 10-12pm. A memorial service will begin there at 12pm.
