Joyce Ann Brown

Joyce Ann (Axsom) Brown, born August 13, 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana. She lived in Por Richey, Florida for the last 30 years where she passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026. She married her soulmate, John, on August 18, 1962. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother grandmother and great-grandmother

Throughout her life, she worked as a secretary/receptionist until she left employment to be a stay-at-home wife. She desired her comfortable home, and loved watching the Tampa Ba, Buccaneers, as well as the Tamp Bay Rays. Joyce was also a General Class member of the Gul Coast Amateur Radio Club (KA4JOY).

She is survived by her husband, John R Brown, Sr., her daughter Rebecca Lambert, her son, Johr R. Brown, Jr., sisters-in-law Bonnie (Ron) Deugan, Tammy Hood, Julie (Mark) Lopez, her grandchildren Nicholas (Brandi) Harrington, Christoper (Rachel) Lambert, Tiffany LaFave, Johr Brown, III, Brittany Brown, and her dog, Barney. She had nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Levert Axsom and her mother, Glen Dora (LeRoy) Stidd

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026 at Flanner Buchanan Washington Park East, with visitation from 11am to 2pm, followed by a service at 2pm. She will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your local rescue animal shelter, including Indy Humane Society.

Though she will be deeply missed, her love, wisdom and spirit will remain in the hearts of al who knew and loved her
