Joyce F. Walls, affectionately known as Anne, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2026, in Westfield, Indiana, at the age of 91. Born Marian Joyce Forrester on August 26, 1934, in Iva, South Carolina, she lived a life marked by deep faith, dedicated service, and profound love for her family.
Anne’s early years were spent on a farm in Barnes Station near Iva, South Carolina, where she attended Barnes Station Elementary School. In 1947, her family relocated to Mauldin, South Carolina, where she completed her education at Mauldin High School, graduating in 1952. These formative years helped shape the strong Christian values and resilient spirit she carried throughout her life.
On August 2, 1954, she married Ralph Edward Walls in Tacoma, Washington. Their union, blessed with 64 years of shared love and commitment, was a testament to enduring partnership and faithfulness. Following her husband’s graduation from dental school, Anne embraced the role of a stay-at-home mother. She was also involved with Ralph’s dental practice (Cornerstone Dentistry, Inc.) for many years with the weekly responsibility of employee payroll, where she was beloved by the staff. Her proudest accomplishments were her roles as a mother and grandmother, treasures she held closest to her heart.
Anne’s faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was a devoted servant of the Lord, and along with her husband, were both long-time and cherished members of Castleview Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Together they served many years as part of the Associate Staff of Campus Crusade for Christ.
One of Anne’s greatest legacies was founding the Creative Living Bible Study in Indianapolis over 45 years ago, a ministry that became a cornerstone of her life and faith. Through her leadership, teaching and devotion, she helped countless women grow in their relationship with Christ. The ministry continues today, a lasting testimony to her faithfulness and the impact she had on generations of believers.
Anne has gone to be in the hands of our Lord, leaving a legacy defined by faith, devotion to her family, and selfless service. Her passing is mourned deeply by all who were fortunate to know her.
