Joy Abernathy

Joy B. Abernathy of Westfield, IN, passed away on December 8, 2024, at the age of 59. She was born in Los Angeles, CA, on June 12, 1965, and adopted by parents, John J. and Betty J. (Lebold) Mazur. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, coloring, watching crime shows, rooting for the Colts and spoiling her fur babies. 

Joy married James Abernathy on May 2nd, 1992 they spent 32 wonderful years married and 5 years prior dating, he survives. She is survived by son, Joey Abernathy and her 3 pups; Belle, Bandit and Khaleesi. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 12pm until 2pm, December 16, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park – Prairie Waters (4180 Westfield Rd. Westfield, IN). A Funeral Service will be held at 2pm, Monday, December 16, 2024, at Flanner Buchanan Hamilton Memorial Park – Prairie Waters. Burial will follow funeral service at Hamilton Memorial Park Cemetery.
