Josie Mae Carmack

Josie Mae went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 7, 2018.  She was born on July 11, 1924 in Hilham, Tennessee, the 13^th of 15 children to William and Florence (Rich) Brown.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband Willie; sons, James, Leonard, Bobby; one grandson and 13 siblings.  She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy (Don) DeHart; son, Charles Carmack; sister, Marion and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.  The mother of 5 children, she buried 3 of them.  She often said that with her faith in God and her Savior she would see them again in Heaven which helped her through such enormous losses.  One of her favorite Bible verses was, John 3:16.  Josie was a member of Fountain Square Church of Christ.  She had worked for the William H. Block Company many years.  The family wishes to thank the staff at Forest Creek Village for their kindnesses during Josie’s stay there.  Services will be private.
