Josephine C. McCormick

Josephine C. McCormick, 91 of Carmel, Indiana, a much-loved mother and grandmother, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023. Josephine was born September 18, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Ernest H. and Ruth T. Crabbe.

Josephine attended Miami of Ohio University. She married John L. McCormick, her high school sweetheart, on September 3rd, 1955.  They were happily married for almost 60 years.

Josephine was a strong supporter of local government.  She was a member and served for the League of Women Voters.  She and her husband, John, retired to Glen Lake Michigan, a life-long dream.

Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, John L. McCormick, her parents and her sister, Elizabeth Routt.  She is survived by her daughters, Victoria M. (husband, Richard) Bromm and Krista M. Grubb; grandchildren, Ben (Shayna) Crooks, Natalie (Tyler) Thomen, Hannah Bromm, George M., John A., and Lillian E. Grubb.

A private family service will be held at a later date.  In lieu flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
