Josephene (Brown) Cobb of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on April 25, 2026, at 82 years of age. She was born October 2, 1943, in Laurel County, Kentucky to the late Dolphus Woodson and Hazel (Benge) Brown. Josephene enjoyed shopping, had a great fondness for any and all dogs, loved her country, her president, and was a faithful follower of Fox News. She was a bit of a perfectionist when it came to housekeeping, everything had its place and she saw to that. Josephene loved spending time with her family and had a deep affection for everyone she considered family. She was dearly loved and will be missed immensely.

Josephene is survived by her loving children, Sheila Brown (Ray), Jamie Taylor, her grandson, Dalton, her great grandchildren, Kevin, Alle-Jo, Aden, her great-great grandchildren, Terance, Amity, her sisters, Geri, Aleene, Earlene, her brother, Claude, and a host of extended family. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of more than 40 years, Phillip, her grandson, Jason, her sister, Lorene, and her brother, Cline.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11am at Westridge Park Cemetery. At her request there will be no visitation. Flanner Buchanan Decatur Township is entrusted with these arrangements and her care.
