Joseph W. Klein

Joseph William Klein, 70, of Indianapolis, passed away onMarch 12th. Joe was born September 7th,1945, to Joseph and Louise Klein.

Joe graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1963, wherehe lettered in baseball, football, and wrestling. He attended Ball State University and NormalCollege, and was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity. He was a member of the Antelope Club in Indianapolis.

He was owner of Allied Liquor on the east side ofIndianapolis. He took tremendous pridein “The Store”, and made many friendships through it that lasted hislifetime. One of his favorite joys inlife was engaging in conversation with his vendors and suppliers in his office,and also with his friends and family that would stop by often.

He was a proud father to his only son, Morgan, and hisdaughter-in-law Courtney. He was“Grandpa Joe” to his grandsons Garrett, Sawyer, and Graham Joseph. To say he spoke about them often would be anunderstatement.

He is survived by his loving sister JudyCallahan of Indianapolis, nephew Brad Newkirk and wife Tanya, and nieceDanielle Newkirk. Also by many cousinsacross the midwest. He was preceded indeath by both parents and nephew Jeffrey Newkirk.
