Joseph E. Sniadecki

Joseph Sniadecki of Carmel, IN, passed away on September 24, 2026, at the age of 80. He was born in South Bend, on May 30, 1946, to parents, Joseph and Clara (Szafranski) Sniadecki.

Joe is an Army Veteran, proudly serving his country during the Vietnam War. He earned a Bachelor and Masters Degree in Accounting from Indiana University and worked as the Director of Finance for the United States Postal Service. Joe loved traveling over the years with Eileen and spending time with family, especially his grandkids, He more recently enjoyed seeing his “brothers” at the Indianapolis VA.

Joseph married Eileen on July 25, 1970. Together, they spent nearly 57 loving years together. He is survived by his loving wife; children, Matthew (Trish) Sniadecki, Mark (Tara) Sniadecki, and Michael (Laura) Sniadecki; grandchildren, Madeline, Bailey, Isaac, Willem, Henry, George, and Lily.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Joe’s honor may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association. Joe’s family is grateful for the loving care he received from Dignity and Hope Hospice and the medical staff at Meadow Brook Assisted Living.

A Visitation for family and friends to gather will be held from 12pm-1pm prior to services. A Funeral Mass will be held at 1pm, Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery Chapel (9001 Haverstick Rd. Indianapolis, IN 46240). Burial will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
