Joseph R. Ilagan

Joseph R. Ilagan, 41 of Carmel, passed away at his home Thursday, February 24, 2022, surrounded by his wife and daughter after a courageous battle with rectal cancer.  Joseph was born March 24, 1980 in Oak Brook, IL.  He attended Brebeuf Jesuit High School, Xavier University and Indiana University.

A private Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Luke Catholic Church, of which he was a member, and his ashes will be laid to rest alongside his brother Jonathan in Terre Haute, IN.  A Celebration of Life Mass will be held for all to attend at Brebeuf Jesuit High School on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 12:30pm.  Joe’s family will be happy to greet those who would like to attend early starting at 11:30am.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Kimberly; daughter, Anastasia; parents, Petronio and Perla Ilagan; and extended family members in the Philippines, Michigan, California, and Germany. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jonathan.
