Joseph Paul Whitley

Joseph Paul Whitley 86, Indianapolis, passed away Friday, May 18, 2012. He was born in Cumberland County, KY on June 21, 1925 to the late Henry and Minnie Whitley. He was the youngest of 5 siblings. Joe served in the U.S Army for 4 years and received an honorable discharge on December 21, 1952. He worked at Ford Motor Company from 1957 as the lead crib attendant until he retired in 1991. He was commissioned to the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels in 2011. He is a member of Southwood Baptist Church He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Joyce; sons, Terry (Julie), Chris (Christi); daughters, Debbie Simcox (Matt), Susan Lee; grandsons, Josh, Phillip; granddaughters, Sarah, Amy; great-grandaughter, Annie. The family will receive friends from 4pm-7pm at Flanner and Buchanan-Washington Park East on Monday May 21st .
