Joseph Patrick Breen, 87, of Indianapolis, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015. He was born in Indianapolis on February 25, 1928 to John F. and Nora C. (Mulrine) Breen. Joseph was a 1947 graduate of Howe High School. He worked as a salesman for Stark & Wetzel, Co. and retired from the USAF. He coached CYO baseball and enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He is survived by his children, Timothy (Nancy) Breen and John S. Breen; grandchildren, Allan Montgomery, Erin Elizabeth (Kenny) Breen-Wemer, Patrick (Meggan) Breen; and great-grandchildren, Phoenix B. Montgomery and Ryne Breen. Joseph is also survived by his sister, Ann Holler. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joseph Michael Breen; brother, John E. Breen; sister, Mary Lenahan. Joseph was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Kathleen (Wilhite) Breen, who passed away in 1981. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 4-8pm at Flanner and Buchanan – Speedway. Graveside services will take place at Calvary Catholic Cemetery on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 10:30am.
