Joseph Kovach

Joe Kovach, 86 of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away March 7, 2014. He was the son of the late Andrew and Helen Kovach. He was a union Brick Layer for over 30 years. Joe served proudly in the U S Army during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion and Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his children, John Kovach, step-children,Catherine Baker, Pat Schrieber; Tim and Rob Gerard; grandchildren, Zachary and Emily Kovach; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren; and sister, Mary Barta. He was preceded in death by his wives, Janet Gerard Kovach and Carol Stumpp Kovach and a son, Mark Kovach. Services will be on Thursday, March 13 at noon at Flanner and Buchanan-Decatur Township, with visitation there from 10 a.m. He will be laid to rest in Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Family and friends are invited to share memories of Joe in his online guestbook.
