Joseph Emerson Einterz

December 16, 1994 — March 15, 2016

Joseph Emerson Einterz died Tuesday, March 15, 2016. He was 21 years old. He died at his apartment in Bloomington, Indiana.
Born on December 16, 1994 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Michael and Sara Einterz. Joseph attended Zionsville Community High School where he was a member of the football team, the wrestling team, and the rugby team. Joseph attended Indiana University from 2013-2015.
Joseph was always surrounded by an amazing group of friends. His life-long friends from Zionsville, including Carter, Keila, Jackson and his 'school-wife' Austin will miss him dearly. He found his calling bartending at Kilroy's in Bloomington and cherished the friends he made there.
Joseph's thirst for life was infectious, his charisma unmistakable, and his sense of humor was unparalleled. His sarcasm and sharp wit produced his trademark phrase "Shut Up, Mike" and the well-worn response: "Hey Joe, don't suck!" Although he was relegated to "Wood" status (after Matthias' "Gold" and Michael's "Platinum"), Joe was a member of the pantheon of momma's boys and as long as she's living, her baby he will be.
Whether they called him Joe-Fish, Dopey, Joe-Cool, Joe-Joe White Shoes, Uncle Joe, or Joe-Joe, Joseph was adored by friends and family alike and will be deeply missed by everyone who was lucky enough to meet him.
Joseph is survived by his parents and his siblings; Michael and Jennifer Einterz, Laura and Brian Graefnitz, Hannah and Leron Giesting, Leah and Ryan Brendel, Rachael Moody, Matthias Einterz, and Gabriella Einterz, and his nieces and nephews; Quinn, Asher, Eliza, Jackson, Gavin, Paxton, Isaiah, Nalley, Felicity, Siena, Levi, Harrison, and Isabella, also his Grandma Einterz, and Grandma and Papa Mellinger, and 36 aunts and uncles, and 77 cousins.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 18th from 3:00pm-7:00pm at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church in Zionsville, Indiana. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, March 19th at 11:00am at St. Alphonsus Liguori. A graveside service for family members will follow at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis.
Arrangements are being handled by Flanner and Buchanan, Zionsville. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Alphonsus Liguori Parish dedicated to The St. Joseph devotional space in Joseph's memory.
