Joseph Edward Underwood

Joseph Edward Underwood 87 of Indianapolis, IN passed away December 4, 2012. He was a member of Fairland Christian Church, Prospect Masonic Lodge # 714. American Legion and was a DeMolay Dad. Joseph served in the U S Navy during WW II and was a retired plumber with Frank Irish. Survivors: children, Ronald Joseph Underwood, Kimberly Louise Feltner, Jeffrey Keith Underwood and Lisa Marvella Gilpatrick; sister, Mable Hopkins; 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marvella (Johnson) Underwood; son, Marc Edward Underwood, brothers, Charles Pettis, Lawrence, Raymond and Jerry Underwood; sisters, Olive Jones and Helen Herndon. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 at Flanner and Buchanan – Memorial Park 9350 E. Washington St. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the funeral center. Burial with Military Rites will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
