Joseph Cafrelli Jr., 74, of Noblesville, passed away April 8th, 2022. He was born in Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, May 18th, 1947, to parents Joseph and Elizabeth (Persson) Cafrelli.
Joseph grew up in Aliquippa. As a young adult, he moved to Indianapolis, and spent several years in Florida.
Joseph selflessly served his county in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.
A very hard worker, Joseph held several jobs throughout his life. He began his career at RCA, was employed at the US Navy avionics center, and retired from the Naval Air Station, Jacksonville.
During his time at RCA, he met the love of his life, Cheryl Brown. They married and shared many wonderful years together. Cheryl passed away in 2019.
Joseph was a strong, loving gentleman. He was a valued member of St. Matthews Episcopal Church, and the local Lion’s Club. He loved the ocean and enjoyed spending time relaxing on the beach. In his free time, he was involved in amateur radio (call sign KJ4TEX). Above all, he adored spending time with his children and family.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Charles and Charisse Cafrelli; his siblings Carol Zelesnik, Bob Cafrelli, and Diane McCray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife Cheryl; and his brother Alfred Cafrelli.
Joseph’s memorial service will be held at St. Matthews Episcopal Church on Monday, April 18th, 2022. Visitation will be 10am-11am. His service will begin at 11am.
